Make a Diver Experiment

Suitable for ages 4 to 8 years
Reception to Year 3 (Primary 1 to 4)

Children are fascinated by these cute little divers.
Squeeze the bottle and it sinks.
Stop squeezing and it floats to the top again.

If you wish, you can decorate your diver: Give it a little skirt - made from
a small piece of plastic carrier bag - and it turns into a jellyfish!

This activity is about:

Sinking and floating;

Investigating how air can be used to make things float.
