		Sun Printing Experiment

	 	Ideal for ages 4 to 13 Reception to Year 8 (P1 - S2)

 | |

             | | | | |

                    | |
Place a flatish object - it could be a feather, some leaves, or a slice of lemon - on the paper,
put it in the sunlight for a couple of minutes - and then 'develop' it in ordinary tap water
for a minute - and you end up with an amazing permanent print.
	     | |

             | | | | |

                    | |
For younger pupils it is great for exploring the differences between opaque,
		translucent and transparent materials.
	     | |

             | | | | |

                    | |
Older pupils can understand the process as a chemical change, and can investigate
the effects of using alternative chemicals - by developing the prints in solutions of
vinegar - or even cold tea!

             | | | | |

                    | |
 | |

             | | | | |

                    | |
